Join us August 16th & 17th in Taunton, Massachusetts, as the Bull Terrier Club of New England and the Miniature Bull Terrier Club of the Northeast host a weekend dedicated entirely to Bull Terriers and Miniature Bull Terriers—complete with great judges, fabulous food, amazing company, and plenty of opportunities to connect, compete, and celebrate the breeds we love.
Starting strong on Saturday:
– In the morning, Sylvain Rousse of France makes his U.S. judging debut. A breeder-judge and longtime enthusiast of the breed, Sylvain brings a fresh international perspective to the ring.
– In the afternoon, exhibitors will show under Andrea Gates, a U.S.-born breeder now based in the U.K., who brings experience from both sides of the Atlantic. Andrea will also judge Best in Show, selected from the Bull Terrier and Miniature Bull Terrier winners of her afternoon assignments.
And continuing full force on Sunday:
– Grace Thomas kicks off the day with Sweepstakes, bringing both a breeder’s eye and a keen instinct for promising youngsters.
– Regular classes follow under Bob Thomas, whose longstanding involvement in the breed and international experience make his ring one that invites serious competition and demands you bring your best.
There’ll be raffles, a sales table, exclusive merchandise, and plenty of camaraderie—bring cash and come ready to support your clubs.
Start each morning with our continental breakfast, and on Saturday, fuel up with a club-hosted Mexican Fiesta lunch and don’t miss the BTCA membership meeting. Saturday night’s optional group dinner is your chance to relax, recharge, and swap the kind of stories only fellow aficionados can tell—the ones that start with pedigrees and end with questionable life choices.
Whether you’re campaigning a special, debuting a youngster, or simply wanting to soak up the scene, know that this isn’t just another weekend of shows!
It’s a gathering of diehards and a glorious dose of barely-contained chaos.
